from enlisting in 1975, i spent about six months at fort dixion, and one and half years at fort jackson and never had a problem with racist soldiers and had a clean record - only when i was transferred to fort hood, texas, A company 163 military intelligence battalion and was told by sergeant william charles garrett jr. and others "that just because i call you a nigger - you not going to get away with talking back" as i would say "why are you are being a racist and treating me worse than a dog".
and the physiatrist reported that nothing was wrong with me
and recomended that i be transfered to a more friendly unit
which i wasn't-
also my family mother knew of my racist treatment and wrote
a letter to president jimmy carter and president carter intervined
and advocated on my behalf and i was finally released from fort
hood, texas, - although falsly convicted and given a bad conduct discharge-
