As for Guy's Pollution Of realNEO - We Need A Board Meeting and Policies for What is Legal and Posted To Home. I don't care that Guy fills our server with random wisdom he mines from the Internet, if that content is not violating the rights of others and is legal to host on our servers. It is the responsibility of the Board of real coop to insure that is the case, and address any inquiries from authorities about the content posted here. As we do not have a formal board or board proceedings, I believe responsibility for all this rests with the officers of real coop. I ask the officers to schedule a public board meeting where all members have the opportunity to address their concerns and may be on public record with that.
Further, there are no rules about what content should be posted to the home page of realNEO and there is no reason why postings by Guy or myself or any realNEO member should automatically go to the home page - if any of us create a blog posting it goes to our blog and is stored there for us - that it goes to the home page is just the way we have things configured, for no particular reason, and that may be changed and should. One member should certainly not be able to fill the home page with content that other members do not want to see. Again, the board should decide how we address this, and the board must meet.
Lastly, there are easy ways to configure Drupal to eliminate all the problems we have with poor content here - we can prevent people from changing the font size and appearance on the home page, to prevent a member from going big-bold-caps on everyone - and we can moderate what is posted to the home and have members vote on what goes there. Again, the board should decide how we address this, and the board must meet.
I call for a board meeting and if someone in authority will not schedule one I will.
