Oregon's commitment to Open Source is well demonstrated by the establishment of their Open Technology Business Center [1] in Beaverton - we need this in NEO:

We bring talent, ideas and capital together to support the
founding, funding and growth of Open Technology businesses and projects.

Our members include entrepreneurs, small Open Technology companies, large technology suppliers and venture capital firms. The Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) and City of Beaverton are our founding partners.

Location

Our mission is global but we’re located in Beaverton, Oregon - a key area of innovation for Open Technology. IBM and Intel have global Linux competency centers located nearby and the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) is right here. Linus Torvalds, the founder of Linux lives here. The O’Reilly open source conference for developers (OSCON) is held here. Oregon has deep embedded Linux and open source expertise and a robust talent pool in innovative technologies.
