Sam Heide (seated at table) working with the Greater Cleveland Voter Coalition on Saturday afternoon, January 5th, 2008 helped register prospective voters at Dave’s Supermarket [1] in Shaker Square. Cold and rainy outside - warm, well lit, gregarious and non-adversarial atmosphere inside the store. Great place to meet the neighborhood.
If you want change in NEO and in the US - one of the most effective ways to produce change is through, educated, informed, and consistent voting.
You can find when and where the Coalition is actively registering voters by telephoning the Coalition at 216-391-0900 or find them online at www.clevelandvotes.org [2]
Writing and reading these Realneo (and and other) blogs is intellectually stimulating and educational and fun, but to make change we need new government.
Hats off to Mr. Heide, the Greater Cleveland Voter Coalition, and Dave’s Supermarkets and Dave’s President Daniel Saltzman for proactively supporting our citizen’s right and opportunity to vote.
I should add, that one reason I appreciate Mr. Saltzman's hospitality towards voter registration is because during the Putitontheballot.com [3] petition drive effort I experienced that many businesses didn't have the chutzpa to stick up for petitioning and wanted to throw us off their property
PLEASE - ENCOURAGE YOUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS AND ACQUAINTANCES TO REGISTER AND VOTE!
BETTER YET - RUN FOR OFFICE YOURSELF!
