Disrespecting our Military and Veterans.....an underground contemptuous attitude destroying the fabric of America...Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sun, 06/02/2013 - 18:09.
I attended a military reunion recently. Thereafter; someone made a mockery of it. I thought about their idea of "what fun is?" ...and then I laughed at their pathetic (spoiled) existence as an American. To realize that there is such a lacking percentage of Americans who fail to recognize that they are a part of the problem and reasoning associated with why so many veterans commit suicide daily is the hugest sickening thing I have ever come to grips with in my life. You ungrateful, bullying jerks need your citizenship revoked. You are probably the same people who don't vote or you probably engage in chronic corrupt activity. You are the reason some of America's best people-our veterans-are homeless, cannot get employment, and are faced with constant discouragement. Our veterans are trained to be accountable in a world of unaccountable Americans. It is shameful that so many Americans work a forty hour week, but they think because someone in their lineage served the military-that they don't owe this Nation anything. It's comical to see Americans buying flags on Memorial Day and the July 4th to hide behind. It's a joke to listen to them talk about being All Americans as they switch their TV on with 200 channels to surf in the other 128 hours left in a week. (40+128=168 or 24x7=168). It's disgraceful to see their choices of fun in society which include hanging out in basement bars to obscure their failures to vote, to wear a uniform, or serve their community at large with any sense of consideration other than to "talk shit" because they have nothing positive to offer the world at large. I remember the first month I left for the military when our unit was tasked with volunteering at the Special Olympics. Not only did we volunteer to protect and defend the USA, we also served in countless capacities to support global and local missions to make America a better place. In the interim; a world of Americans have devaluated the entire purpose we serve by disdainfully and contemptuously and many times ambiguously disrespecting our service. Proud soldiers and veterans nationwide unite regularly to enjoy bonds of war, training, and service which is incomparable to a lacking American public at large. For those of you who don't understand the familial bonds that are sustained by service members and veterans around our globe; I believe you should find something bigger than yourself to be a part of and sacrifice some of your wasted time on earth giving back to your community before you attempt to violate veterans. I'd use ten dollar words to drive my point home; but at the end of the day; the simplicity is that I had lots of fun having intellectually stimulating communications, laughing at various "been there; done that" stories, and sharing a couple priceless hours honoring people who served our nation longer than some of you have been alive. Your smug attitude that disparages service at large is another reason our country is going to hell in a hand basket. Combat boots; battle dress uniforms; and ruck sacks were a part of my life for almost 10 years. Those of you who have never had the responsibility to be prepared to leave for war with a 24 hour notice certainly have never "lived" in my opinion. Having your bags ready to rock so that others can smoke a rock-is by far an exhilarating experience you may never understand. I did more before I was thirty than most of you will do in your lifetimes by and through my military service. I've travelled the globe while you enjoyed being a couch potato. As I think about the mestastic mentality that has permeated America which cultivates such disrespect for "service" at any degree; I find solace in knowing that I have had the honor of serving with some of America's best. Being encircled with those men and women; many retired; revitalized my fighting spirit, reminded me about all the amazing reasons I have served our nation selflessly, and rejuvenated my energies to continue without a bump in the road (that poor attitude of many Americans).......... Duty-Honor-Country BTW: 22 VETERANS COMMIT SUICIDE A DAY....WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HELP A LOCAL VETERAN OR THEIR FAMILY??? http://www.forbes.com/sites/melaniehaiken/2013/02/05/22-the-number-of-veterans-who-now-commit-suicide-every-day/ FORBES ARTICLE STATES: "Almost once an hour – every 65 minutes to be precise – a military veteran commits suicide, says a new investigation by the Department of Veterans Affairs. By far the most extensive study of veteran suicides ever conducted, the report, issued Friday, examined suicide data from 1999 to 2010. The data was then compared with a previous investigation – primarily an estimation – that had been conducted over the same time period, and had found a suicide rate of 18 per day. Many of these suicides involve older veterans; 69 percent of the suicides recorded were by veterans age 50 and older. But another way to look at this is that 31 percent of these suicides were by veterans 49 and younger. In other words, by men in the prime of life."

22 Veterans commit suicide every day....Good Looking Out America
Change the way you treat our Veterans...
Corruption is the core to it all----no accountability in the civilian world unless to be used as a quota for the purpose of the leadership ascertaining federal grants to run useless programs and pay top heavy salaries for worthless administrators...
CUYAHOGA COUNTY LAND BANK SHOULD GIVE EVERY HOMELESS VETERAN IN CUYAHOGA COUNTY A FREE HOME FOR LIFE....THE END. (AND MAINTAIN THE HOUSES!)
Always Appreciative,

Angel14 - I appreciate your service&your commitment to kick A
You may wonder when you write a piece and don't get a lotta comments on it - maybe you were too far out....not so...
I read every word of everything you write and I believe that you are absolutely on point...you've got it nailed.
Americans, like "mayor" Jackson, are mostly brain dead corporate sports absorbing working zombies. With 454HP cars.
Realneo needs to conduct a "crackstarter" like Gawker did for Toronto's Mayor Ford. Expand. Kick A.
Hat tip to you.
Best, Jeff
Thank You, Jeff!
I learned long ago that the crowd was usually corrupt...
I love the blissful feeling of walking into a room and watching the people disperse...like oil and water...It helps to pick out the corrupt and good....
Love it that way....
Will never apologize for who I am....
....and NEITHER SHOULD ANY VETERAN....
We are made to feel out of place when we ask for accountability, we are made to feel ostracized when we speak the truth. We are made to feel like outsiders because we don't agree with the status quo of social injustice. We are targeted as crazies for trying to do the "right thing"... and they want us to go away and leave them continue their wrongs upon the world at large. They want us to shut up and stop speaking the truth.
I do what I do because too many buried veterans and service members should never have given their lives in vein....and it is an AMERICAN INJUSTICE AT LARGE---that any person in America should have to tolerate such abusive attitudes.
It's unacceptable that the righteous are steered out of Cleveland in droves. Those who questioned the unethical practices were literally weeded out to the best of the political regime's ability. They worked tirelessly to strip the people of a sense of pride, honesty, and American Spirit. It happened for generations. It continues today...The sneers, jeers, and giggles as they cheer eachother on for smugly sending the individuals who attempted to fight for what was right throughout the years is amazing...
I PRAY FOR GOD'S WRATH UPON THOSE PEOPLE: AND YOU ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE---that violated our veterans along the line.... YOU ALL DESERVE UNMARKED GRAVES...
May our veterans and service members always know that they are loved by a greater majority of GOOD AMERICANS...than gut wrenching pathetic corrupt mongers. HUGS TO OUR VETS!
Always Appreciative,

Did YOU have "FUN" with the Military People?
Yes; I most certainly did...
Be advised that YOU Brain dead idiots spending your days and nights fantasizing about meaningless moments will NEVER understand the intrinsic nature and fraternal love of such an organization!!! My military associations are NOT TAINTED with skewed bull crap which your weak minded spineless snake personality would like to project. It's sad that you are so pathetic in your devaluation of truly GOOD PEOPLE!
While you sat around an empty circle dogging out things you are rather ignorant about; we fought wars, sacrificed our freedoms, and carried a heavy load so you could enjoy being a waste of American Society...............
Your relatives may have worn a uniform; but that doesn't excuse your failure to wear one.... Even if you didn't wear a uniform-you could have done something for the world around you besides consume space with the empty space between your ears spewing out a bunch of hot air........
Get REAL!
Sad part....it is all a joke to tell these brain dead fools anything of this nature....They really BELIEVE that their wasted lives are worthy of respect....lol. They cannot take all those superficial things with them when they die.... But our Veterans still leave behind service that is incomparable to most civilian life without service.
Always Appreciative,

Veterans
My father was a veteran and I can understand your passion for the service. Wearing the uniform - and the flag - is part of the honor, but also part of the reason folks don't necessarily respect the dogma behind the service.
I know you are going to be mad at me for saying it - but the confederate flag is not a happy memory for a lot of folks. So, dear friend, while your sentiments can get my full backing, and I can understand your frustration - I can't support the image. How about Lady Liberty with the American flag???
(I know the confederate flag is also seen as being a "confederate", not unlike someone who has black skin feeling it is okay to use the n-word to denote association- but our country is not that sophisticated and some signs and symbols should definitely be avoided)
See Flag Day: http://www.thinkfinity.org/docs/DOC-11711
Using IGNORANCE TO INTIMIDATE HERITAGE OUT OF PEOPLE
The contentions of folks who prefer to remain uneducated and narrow minded is a part of life that we shall all have to get over!
http://www.pitt.edu/~hirtle/uujec/white.html
I'M FED UP WITH BEING INTIMIDATED FROM ENJOYING MY HERITAGE, MY FAMILY HISTORY, AND THE LOVE OF THE SOUTHERN STATES BECAUSE OF OTHER PEOPLE'S "contentions"!
American Flag, Confederate Flag, Irish Flag, Hispanic Flag...Truly intriguing how the hillbillies have been intimidated out of their history as others used that flag as a symbolic contention to negative things which will NEVER GO AWAY...get over it! The IRISH WERE OPPRESSED TOO!
I'LL RESPECT YOUR OPINION.....NO DOUBT...REALNEO HAS TAUGHT ME TO BE A BIG GIRL AND UNDERSTAND RESPECTFULLY THINGS I DISAGREE WITH ALONG THE LINE OF LIFE.
http://www.pitt.edu/~hirtle/uujec/white.html
I had to learn to understand many areas I was extraordinarily uneducated and ignorant about to become a reasonable adult and it was not easy eating crap to learn about cultures and identities I once did not agree with in my life....but now I recognize that life is too short to play "JUDGE" in other people's worlds....so, I accept the rainbow flag too.... but I still don't agree with being intimidated into accepting things....and that is what those folks hollering "Racisim" has led to with this flag...
RECOGNIZE THAT WHITE FOLKS WERE OPPRESSED TOO...PARTICULARLY MANY OF THE IRISH! AND THEY WERE CALLED THE "N" WORD LONG BEFORE THE BLACKS WERE CALLED IT....http://www.rsdb.org/search?q=iri
I LOVE YOU LAURA MCSHANE...BUT REMEMBER....WHITE FOLKS WERE HURT BY IT ALL TOO....AND I STILL LOVE THE REBEL FLAG!
YEEHAWWW..............HILLBILLY LOVE!
Always Appreciative,
"ANGELnWard14"
White folks
Love you right back - but I refuse to label myself or others "black or white". Too many folks - all related in some shape or way and pitted against each other. Sad.
FOLKS....HILLBILLY LOVE....WHITE.....BLACK....HISPANIC...
FOLKS ARE A GANG IN CLEVELAND...old school. STILL ALIVE AND KICKING....DIRTY DEALINGS, INITIATIONS, AND MUCH MORE.
HILLBILLY (hbl) WAS A GANG IN THE EARLY NINETIES TOO.
I SAY THIS BECAUSE THERE'S ALWAYS MORE TO THE STORY...
BUT I AM ALSO TIRED OF BEING INTIMIDATED INTO FEELING NEGATIVE ABOUT BEING A WHITE PERSON....
I'M A HONKY, A CRACKER, A REBEL, WHITE TRASH,A LESBIAN, AN IRISH "N", A "b", AND AN IGNORANT HILLBILLY....
I DON'T TAKE ANY OF THOSE NAMES PERSONALLY...IT'S ALL A REFLECTION OF THE PEOPLE USING THOSE TERMS----..... BUT AN "n" ALWAYS IMPEDES PROGRESS AND MOST OF 'EM ARE WHITE! lol....JUST LOOK AT THE CITY COUNCIL OF CLEVELAND HISTORICALLY...LOL
Always Appreciative,
"ANGELnWard14"
