father william ott was the seismologist for john carroll university and also past professor of geology at john carroll university - father ott Chanalled to me (a holy spirit that called self father ott) that a huge killer earthquake will strike earth any moment - and he wanted me to warn folks - father ott and me spoke a lot about earthquakes before he was  transfered to costa ricca or boliva in the 1980's - heres a brief story of father ott from the john carroll magazine by dennis casey -

In the summer online issue, I referred to the late Fr. William Ott, S.J. As you can imagine, I was pleased to read in a recent issue of Partners, the magazine of the Chicago-Detroit Province, that Fr. Ott recently celebrated his 50th anniversary as a Jesuit. Congratulations, Fr. Ott, and thanks for putting up with so many of us in your geology class that most of us were taking to simply fulfill a science core curriculum requirement; but more importantly, thank you for your seismological expertise as the face of JCU when tremors would strike the North Coast or large areas worldwide.
