Show: Identity Remix

Artist/Designer: Guy-Vincent Ricketti

Dates:  Jan 31st — March 15th, Artist Reception March 9th, 7:00-10:00pm

Gallery Hours:  9am — 5pm, Monday — Friday

Identity was conceived as an ongoing project exploring cultural diversity, community, and the connectivity within. The first public installation of Identity July 28 through October 28, 2006 was designed for Star Plaza - Playhouse Square, Cleveland, Ohio.  It featured six photo-based sculptures and a video installation displayed at random intervals on two jumbotrons located at Playhouse Square.
The site-specific works created for the Star Plaza installation and gallery exhibit have been re-contextualized to create Identity: Remix.  This exhibition brings the public artwork of Identity inside, and combines it with work from the original Identity gallery exhibition.

New compositions have been created to symbolize the connectedness of our lives, culture, and communities.  This exhibit serves to redefine our perceptions of race and the ever-shifting paradigms that occur in our lives.
