Cimperman letter to TremontSubmitted by Oldroser on Mon, 04/01/2013 - 10:13.
TWDC sent me the following, addressed to "Tremont Stakeholder." Funny, when it came to ODOT's plans for the bridge in my front yard, adjacent to my property, I was not considered a stakeholder. And when I sent Joe the link to my last post about ODOT's dismissal of me, he just forwarded it on to ODOT. Big help Mr. Don't Do Anything Until Entire Community Approves was. However, he has been helpful at times and I know nothing about whoever will replace him, doesn't seem as though it will be Brian, whom I like better than many politicians. "I am writing you this letter today to let you know what an honor it is to serve you as Councilman of Ward 3 these last 4 years. Together we have continued to make our community and the Tremont neighborhood a healthy, vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and create. As many of you are aware, we are at the end of the process of redistricting our wards in the City of Cleveland based on the most recent census report. Regrettably, I had no control over how the final map lines were drawn. Through this political process I continued to express my passion for my entire ward and serving the residents within it. Regardless of any changes that may have been made, my desire to work for and with you remains strong as ever.
I will never forget what Tremont has done for me and my family in my time in Council and before. You have taught me so many lessons I carry with me every day. I have been privileged to grow up with you and serve through the renaissance that has happened over the last 15 years. This neighborhood has been my home, shelter, school and family. I want you to know that I worked as hard as I could to still represent some portion of this neighborhood. Losing the opportunity to represent as much of you as I once did is like losing a part of me. I am however, thankful that I will still be able to work with you representing a portion of the existing Tremont, the portion currently represented by Councilman Cummins in Ward 14.
I want to express to you that through the remainder of my current term on council, and serving the existing Ward 3 boundaries, my dedication to you doesn't stop. I took an oath 4 years ago to commit my mind, soul and body to listen to your needs, address your concerns, and plan for a vibrant future and I have no intent on stopping now. As your Councilman I will answer your calls, emails and visits with complete respect and response. I am thankful for every day that I have to serve you. Please know our office is available to you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at joecimperman [at] gmail [dot] com or my cell phone at 216-215-6765.
Sincerely, Joe Cimperman- Councilman, Ward 3"
