CLEVELAND'S GARFIELD PERRY STAMP SHOW MARCH 27 - 29TH , MASONIC AUDITORIUM

I don’t believe that Cleveland will garner 60 MEDCONS per year, but Cleveland is hosting the 119th Garfield-Perry Stamp Exhibition and Bourse – and admission is free. I found out about the event – which will be held in the Masonic Auditorium on Euclid Boulevard and starts on March 27 - because I have a friend coming from out of town to attend the show.

The banner photo is a page out of the 2009 Scott’s Catalogue - which I found at the library  - and shows the printing variation details that philatelists are required  to recognize.

Over the years USA stamps have become less interesting intellectually and visually – boring even.   Imagine a stamp which is called the “forever stamp” - because postal expenses are rising so fast that printing new denominations of stamps has become passé.

And every email and pdf you send helps guarantee that the USPO will shrink – and eventually become obsolete.

By then there won't be colorful stamps, just barcode!
