Creativity, Martini Bars, & Communism - what`s the best plan

Who is the grand planner in our business and civic community...Here in free enterprize america we believe that totally random individual activity will result in the most efficient total plan.   But is that realistic, or nuts.

The image above is of the basement Martini Bowling Bar at the Blackhawk Hotel in Davenport, Iowa.

In the basement of a hundred year old grand hotel, just recently renovated, the Martini Bar offers bowling lanes and beverages until 2:00 AM.

The space is very cool - I would have loved to have the time to bowl - and in Cambridge, Massachusetts, or in Toronto, Ontario, this concept would have been a massive business success - because there would have been enough bowlers and Martini embibers.  But in Davenport.  (my question mark on the keyboard isn`t working)

So that`s the Communism part.

There should be a way to quantify ahead of time whether or not a creative idea would fly economically.

The `free enterprize`system doesn`t have an effective metric for prior determination.

So individuals go out and either make it, or waste their money and talent and creativity.

Inefficent at the least.   You can read about the bar here in the Quad Cities Business Journal
