EARTH FEST AT METROPARKS ZOO SUNDAY APRIL 19 sadly without ED HAUSER

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 20:01.

In honor of  the tireless effort Ed Hauser put into Whiskey Island (and many other Cleveland issues), if you go to the Metroparks Zoo Sunday, April 19, 2009, please take time to come by the Friends of Whiskey Island table and sign the petition urging the Honorable Board of MetroParks Commissioners to acquire, manage and operate Cuyahoga County’s Whiskey Island property and the City of Cleveland’s Coast Guard Station, and to extend the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail to Whiskey Island.
If you would like to print one of the petitions and collect signatures yourself,  a pdf of the one page Word document is inserted below.  There is no deadline on when the petition needs to be submitted to the Metroparks Board, so you can collect signatures tomorrow at EarthFest or on Earthday, or at work, at church, or in your neighborhood over the next several weeks, and then mail the petition to Metroparks. Just click on the pdf below, and it will open in Adobe Reader and you can print it yourself.
Thank you for your help!
