JULY 2015 CLEVELAND CRITICAL MASS MEETS WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE CAMPAIGN!Submitted by Satinder P S Puri on Sat, 08/01/2015 - 23:59.
JULY 2015 CLEVELAND CRITICAL MASS MEETS WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE CAMPAIGN IN DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OHIO!
WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE – a.k.a. PUBLIC SQUARE, CLEVELAND, OHIO -- A PRODUCT OF CLEVELAND’S CORRUPT SYSTEM!
The Critical Mass Event takes place on the last Friday of every month when bicyclists get together and ride as a group in Cleveland, Ohio.
Photographed on a very hot Friday, July 31, 2015, evening at the intersection of East Roadway and Rockwell Avenue as the riders were riding en masse from Mall A on a ride to Night Market, Cleveland, located at Rockwell and 21st Street to incessant cries of:
HAPPY FRIDAY!
JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE!
YAY!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
……….
……….
It took about five minutes (7:04 p.m. to 7:09 p.m.) for the bicyclists to roll by the intersection where I was standing with my WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE sign in one hand and my camera in the other.
The bicyclists were all in a happy mood and cheered and smiled as they drove by.
218-year old Public Square, a.k.a. Jimmy Dimora Square, located in Cleveland, Ohio, has been destroyed – a destruction engineered by the administration of Mayor Frank L. Jackson,
The destruction started on March 9, 2015 and was completed within a 2.5 month period.
All trees, granite benches, flower beds, and shrubs were destroyed
A new Public Square, under construction, which will be built on the cheap, has been nicknamed the Jimmy Dimora Square because of corruption involved in the process.
The $32 million project, with an additional $5 to 10 million for replacing old utilities, is scheduled for completion in time for the Republican National Convention in July 2016.
WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE -- a.k.a. PUBLIC SQUARE, CLEVELAND, OHIO -- A PRODUCT OF CLEVELAND'S CORRUPT SYSTEM!
So far, since August 2014, there have been nearly 440 hours of demonstrations.

July Critical Mass photos - and Sound of Ideas Friday 7/31
Thank you for the great reporting Mr. Satinder P S Puri! I had meant to go on Friday evening - but I was recovering from a bad fall and sore back. I am sure that there were close to a thousand riders.
NEO is slow to tap this energy. Mostly, because Forest City Enterprises (responsible in part for demo of Public Square at tax payer expense) also artificially hinders the bike economy. Jacob Van Sickle, of course, did not mention that Bike Cleveland gets their Tower City digs for free courtesy of Forest City. It has to come with some strings attached. Also, Zagster - the pitiful CLE version of bike sharing - is partially owned by Forest City, too.

Cleveland Critical Mass
Laura: I never thought I would have so much fun waving my WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA SQUARE sign and cheering our energetic bicyclists at the same time. Wish you a speedy and complete recovery.
