Playing For Change | Song Around The World "Stand By Me" from Concord Music Group on Vimeo.

Brought to our attention by Marc Canter--too good for words. Give us music.

made me weep

Thanks Laura... made me weep.

This did, too

OMG! Best FlashMob ever! “Do Re Me” in Antwerp!

Thanks Marc.

This land is your land...

I almost need to carry my camera with me, holstered to my belt--I was behind Joe Schriner's RV today...and caught the message.  Not that I am endorsing any candidates for political office and not that I am 100% on the same page as Joe, but I like his Woody Gutherie spirit.

Flash mob

Or Guerilla Art...what ever you want to call it...we need it here in NEO :)

Just Wonderful!!!

Lots of practice there, and what a wonderful "random act of kindness" gift.

So nice of "them" to film it so well and share it with all of us to enjoy - via Thou Tube.

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy

These are part of the lyrics to a country western song, I heard on the radio today.  I don't like to drive, but I made the trek through parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland this weekend to visit dear ole Mom.

Along the way, I saw dramatic cloud shadows, cows on hills, windmills, abandoned houses, honky-tonk joints and, as I traveled, I heard songs, by Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Toby Keith, John Legend...and the folks featured on this embeded video.  The whole trip was surreal, as always, so many people, so man cultures.  Why do we travel, what makes us want to visit a place, why stay anywhere?

At the well-designed (Taft era) Portage Turpike stop, I heard folks speaking Italian, Arabic, and Japanese!  What were these people doing in Ohio?  To quote the song--God is great, beer is good and people are crazy--damned if I know, but the road has many untold stories of ramshackle lives, just waiting to be heard.
