Turkey Tail - not like I painted in kindergarten

These guys are pretty impressive - lots of gobble noises while scurrying after the hens.

I remember in kindergarten we made clay models of turkeys at Thanksgiving...I think I painted rainbow colors on the tail of the turkey...that wasn't anatomically correct.  

I see a connection between Meleagris gallopavo and urban graffiti.   Maybe also a connection with noisy Harley's...

here is an image of the feather pattern on the back of the turkey.   Very much like shingle patterns on roof tops.
