When is TWDC vote? Who can vote?

Hello Mr. Black,

What is the election date for the Tremont West Development Corp board member vote?   

Since I work in Tremond doing reporting for Realneo can I vote? (if Herb Crowther "works" in Tremont, so does the UPS delivery man and me too.)

How can Realneo help change the tenor of the TWDC Board?

 

 

TWDC Voting Rights

Hi Jeff, you would have had to register to vote by December 29th., 2008 to be eligible to vote. Per their bylaws you would have to register 30 days before their annual meeting. I would encourage still everyone that is interested to participate in TWDC’s form of democracy to still go to the offices of TWDC and register to become a member for 2010.

TWDC votes for seven board members every other year, part two of the revolution will be in January 2010.

If you do anything in the service area of TWDC you would be eligible.

I would recommend everyone in the NEO to attend the TWDC annual meeting on January 29th. It is a public meeting. It would be a positive change to see if this year everyone is treated fairly and equally, and will have the chance to voice ones opinions without someone shouting that they lost quorum while conducting new business just like the past two years.

HERE'S A NEWS FLASH FOR YOU!  ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT TREMONT WEST DEVELOPMENT CORP.   WE HAVE A PRESIDENT - A MAGISTRATE, SEVERAL COLLEGE GRADUATES WITH MASTERS DEGREES, A LAWYER, NOT TO MENTION THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - AND OTHERS, AND NONE OF THOSE CAN TELL YOU HOW MANY ACTIVE MEMBERS TWDC HAS.  SHUCKS, THEY CAN'T EVEN GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATED GUESS. 

NOW, THE CUT OFF DATE TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN THE ANNUAL ELECTION IS THIRTY DAYS PRIOR TO THE ELECTION WHICH THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN DEC 31, 2008 - FOR THE JAN 29, 2009 ANNUAL ELECTION THIS YEAR.

SEVERAL WEEKS AGO I ASK FOR A LIST OF THE ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AND WAS DENIED DUE TO PRIVACY ISSUES - TREMONT WEST HAS A LOT OF PRIVACY ISSUES FOR A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHO'S ULTIMATE AUTHORITY IS THE MEMBERSHIP - I FIND IT IMPOSSIBLE TO BELIEVE THAT AT THIS LATE STAGE OF THE GAME THAT NO ONE KNOWS HOW MANY ACTIVE MEMBERS TWDC HAS OR WHY THE SECRECY IN REVEALING THAT NUMBER.

I MEAN A SIMPLE TALLY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THAT.

I wish all of you could vote - if you can - please get out and do so - Guy Templeton Black needs all your votes - I went to a board meeting tonight and one of the other board members was so rude to Mr. Black - All because he ask a question - let's give him a chance - because it was a perfectly reasonable question.  LET'S HEAR IT FOR MR BLACK!!!!!!!

Membership and Voting

I was told years ago that if you attend a single block club meeting, you are a member of TWDC.

Also, I've heard many people this year request that the voting tally be conducted in front of the membership... instead of a back room.

yea, but who listens to the request, certainly not the board who is making the decision about where the tally is being conducted.  You are correct - if you attend a block club and sign in, you are a member of TWDC, or if you attend other committees, etc., or fill out a membership card at the office.  But what we are trying to get the gist of is how many active members does twdc actually have - some have moved away, died, etc., that is something that should easily be kept count of -  or at least an approximate number - but they can't give you that - or better yet, won't.  What is the big secret?  Are they padding the list?  By not giving an accurate count, they can actually say that quarum count is higher that it actually is - so those running for the board has a right to know how many members there are? and TWDC needs to get off their ass and cough it up - and I for one am just about sick and tired of the run around I keep getting from that little click up there that talks down to everybody like their s....t don't stink.

And I do apoligize to you all out there but these people who are on this board now- act like the regular people in this neighborhood are just little peons and don't have the right to ask what's happening or what's going on and yet they got their noses in every bodys business but their own.

twdc meeting as you said in your most charming way about knowing the members amount and desiree thank you - as tom cook the president of the board for twdc said  ' if it isn't  broke don't fix it" about having an open vote count and annoucing the vote count to each canidate at the meeting - which the board voted aganist - although tom lennand (spelling) of the tree house sent an email to the board requesting to be a witness in watching the vote count to make sure its honest - as i have stated in my first page of my bio as a canidate also- so stating truth to power status qua - so as president  barack  stated
"we can't do it the same way as any thing goes
