I hope someone will attend the final CMA Free Music Offering tonight and report back. I was intrigued to learn that former PD publisher Alex Machaskee leads the Tamburitza Orchestra of Cleveland. The Ignatius Cat-o'-tonics and Harmonia and the Hungarian Folk Ensemble also perform tonight. I am sorry to miss it--I called--the concert is free and all the tickets have been handed out, but there may be some no-shows. So, please GO!

The Screw Factory Artists are opening their studios once again for a spring open studio event. Held on Saturday, May 1st from 1-8pm, the event is free and open to the public. Located in the Lake Erie Building on the edge of Bird Town in Lakewood, mediums vary including fiber, ceramics, glass, mosaics, photography, paintings, printmaking, sculpture and more.

CLEVELAND, OH— Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones will discuss the State of the County at The City Club of Cleveland at noon on Monday, May 10, 2010, at The City Club of Cleveland, 850 Euclid Ave, Second Floor.
Although county government will look different come January, it will function as is until that time. Lawson Jones will address issues and challenges facing the current administration.
