We are gearing up for the Greater Akron Chamber's 98th Annual
Meeting on March 16, 2005, and we want to make sure you are a part
of this year's exciting event. Sponsored by KeyBank, this year's meeting will
feature highlights of the Chamber's achievements as well as future initiatives
that will be critical to the Region's economic success.
Even more exciting, Rebecca Ryan will be keynoting our event to reveal
her year-long work to determine Greater Akron's "Handprint" that
illustrates the Region's assets and weaknesses through the eyes of young
professionals.
You may remember that at last year's Annual Meeting, the Chamber kicked off a
new initiative aimed at attracting and keeping young talent in the Greater
Akron Region. The Greater Akron Chamber contracted with Rebecca Ryan to assist
us with our efforts. Rebecca Ryan is the author of the groundbreaking 2001
Report, "Hot Jobs - Cool Communities." Her report revealed the
unlikely reasons why America’s most progressive places to live and work have
become talent magnets. In 2004, Rebecca was named the "Entrepreneur of the
Year" by the U.S. Association of Small Business & Entrepreneurship.
The evening begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30
p.m. Tickets are $55 per person, $125 per patron sponsor, and $500 per
corporate table of eight.
