The city of Cleveland is proposing to build a garbage incinerator at the Ridge Road Transfer Station.

It would involve the cooking of trash at high temperatures and the release of toxic pollutants into the air.

This site lists all of the many reasons Cleveland should not build a garbage incinerator in Cleveland:

Next scheduled protest will be posted here--stay tuned.

Hello!

As you all know, now is the time to speak up and act out against the proposed garbage incinerator at the Ridge Road Transfer Station.

I wanted to send out a quick reminder that we will be meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 29th at the Neighborhood Family Practice community room, 3569 Ridge Rd from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm.  We will be talking about next steps in the campaign, and need your help.  We also have some updated information from the presentation that Cleveland Public Power made to Cleveland City Council and from public records requests.

With the support of the Sierra Club, we printed 100  "No Cleveland Incinerator" yard signs.  Seventy people have already put them up in their yards. This means we have 30 left to put up.  Please let me know if you would like one or if you have neighbors that would. You can contact me at  dralph [at] ohiocitizen [dot] org" target="_blank" ymailto="mailto:dralph [at] ohiocitizen [dot] org" rel="nofollow">dralph [at] ohiocitizen [dot] org  or (216)970-7724.

Thanks, I hope to see you tomorrow night,
