WHEN I WAS A KID - KITE SKIING & NEW SPORTS TECHNOLOGY

You know what they say about a "new mouse trap"...that there is always a new wrinkle, and a new way to make an improvement.
When we discuss Daedalus had Icarus our discussion always assumes that their flight was mythical – just allegorical - but I believe it might have been actual flight. How do we know what genius and clever design and ingenious materials might have existed 2000 years ago?
Today’s strong and lightweight rip-stop nylon – perfect for huge parasails – makes flight a reality for hang gliders and even for solar or pedal powered ultra lights – and makes crossing water as fast as it would be behind a ski nautique….
Never think of design or machine as mature or finished. Even the wheel will see improvement.

Have you seen base jumping ~ squirrel style ~ with the Mountain Wingsuit? Amazing...
WOW WINGSUIT!
I'm not sure my parents would have supported me being a flying squirrel.
Watching your linked video I was wondering how the wingmen finally landed – they looked like they were cruising at 100mph+ - until I saw that little parachute pop out.
Truly EXTREME!
