Elitism, Obama, White Supremacy and the Ass-Kissing Courtiers

Submitted by Eternity on Mon, 08/03/2009 - 09:53.

Truthdig - Courtiers come in different colors in America but their function is the same. They are hedonists of power...invited into the inner circles of the elite, including the White House and Harvard University, as long as they faithfully serve the system. They are offered comfort and privilege, but they pay with their souls.

PEOPLE IN THURMAN ALLEY - WANT TO SEE THE FLYING MONKEY - FLY

Submitted by jerleen1 on Sun, 08/02/2009 - 22:35.

The loud music blasting from the illegal permitted patio of the Flying Monkey have a number of residents in Thurman Alley wishing that the Monkey would fly already.  Residents who live in close proximity of the establishment say that the noise goes way into the night - keeping them awake and on edge.  Some even told me today that they're having some of the same problems as everybody else with the lack of consideration these nightclubs have in not realizing that people work, children go to school and the lack of sleep keeps everybody on edge.

DID THE PD DAMAGE THE COUNTY REFORM IT BACKS?

Submitted by Roldo on Sun, 08/02/2009 - 16:28.

The Plain Dealer did an excellent job of displaying and explaining the divisions of the County Reform ballot proposal the newspaper supports. But I’m wondering if “division” isn’t the operating word in its presentation.

Ward 14: The Political Wall

Submitted by ANGELnWard14 on Sun, 08/02/2009 - 15:26.
Political Wall as of August 01 2009

Over coffee this morning, a young man told me that "he was making a political statement by NOT VOTING!" That's sad that folks feel so disempowered that they have withdrawn their votes and have conceded to the powers that be...without a fight!!!

I will be painting over the wall this week...

Anyone with paint donations may contact me directly!!!

Thanks for sharing your political awareness with others so that our voters may have all the information available to them to make powerful decisions!

Did you hear the one about the man who walked into the bar...?

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 08/01/2009 - 15:09.

I'm sitting in a bar one day (coffee bar) in Ohio City, Cleveland, Ohio and in walks this man in a long, black, funky  coat with an out-there pattern on the fabric.  Clearly he's headed to our table.  Not sure about what's coming....

Without hesitation (because it turned out he knew one of the people I was with) he withdrew from his inside coat pocket a set of large "cards" and had us immediately engaged - trying to guess the magician's secrets.

Supporting President Obama Does Not Mean Letting Him Off the Hook

Submitted by Eternity on Fri, 07/31/2009 - 10:41.

Max Eternity - I voted for Obama, and I stand by my decision.  However since his election, the list of dissappointments continues to grow; threatening the balance sheet of pros and cons.  From the horrendous, multi-trillion dollar giveaway to the already rich and wealthy, Wall Street elites, to health care rights for all and economic empowerment to the people, the President has strayed far and wide from many of his campaign commitments.  In the accompanying video below, Naomi Wolf comments on the shameful disappointments of President Obama.
