Videotaped on a hot Monday July 18, 2016 evening – day 1 of RNC 2016 in Public Square a.k.a. Jimmy Dimora Public Square as the Bike Brigade drove by the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument (opened on July 4, 1894).

 

 

 

 

 

The taping was part of reporting on my demonstration, carrying

WELCOME REPUBLICANS, JULY 2016 and

WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA PUBLIC SQUARE signs,

carried out in Public Square a.k.a. Jimmy Dimora Square, along East 4th Street, and outside the barricaded entrance to The Q (intersection of East 4th and Prospect).

The area around East 4th Street was packed with protesters, delegates, and the press.

Every one was at their best behavior and appeared to be enjoying themselves.

The recently completed Public Square has been nicknamed the Jimmy Dimora Public Square because of corruption involved in the process.

So far, since August 2014, there have been 692 hours of demonstrations – first with the LEAVE PUBLIC SQUARE ALONE signs and now with WELCOME JIMMY DIMORA PUBLIC SQUARE signs. This is the equivalent of walking over 2,000 miles carrying a sign.

The demonstrations continue unabated with the goal of educating the public about corruption in Cuyahoga county.
