earthquakes in GUATEMALA and anita's safety

Thank you, Guy.

Nice to know it will be 53 km from Antigua. The city itself was destroyed a few times by earthquakes, so architects build them stronger each time until they last, walls quick thick. If you look you will see sort of scalloped effects some times in fancy sort of port hole windows. Beautiful, interesting place.

A while back all along the Atlantic coast there was a tsunami warning (Antigua is inland) due to an earthquake off Costa Rica, but it was canceled. An active volcano was erupting a while back, 50 miles from Antigua. Tourists go to watch the lava flow. Not I.

It is roughly the elevation of Denver. A few mosquitos during the rainy season, which was when I was there, over around the end of October, but not too  many. No mosquito netting in my room, only got one bite that didn’t hurt.
