I just recently learned that the new Transformer Station in Ohio City once served as a power station for Cleveland's once extensive street car line along Detroit Ave. - imagine that! Our infrastructure is crumbling - what have we done to upgrade our power and transportation grid?

Photo above shows building that curved along canal and railroad tracks leading into downtown (and, of course, the overhead wires ubiquitous in this city) - does it all boil down to right-of-way?
