Field of Broken Dreams - America plans obsolescence
10 years ago every car here was someone's jewel - they loved it! Cool ride...
Now every one is scrap metal. And none of the manufacturers are responsible to take them back.
Oil and gas spill out on the dirt - ending up in Lake Erie - our drinking water.
Glass, plastic, rubber, aluminum, steel, cast iron all mingle.
China is the high bidder for the carcass.
And the more new cars which are produced to replace these - the stronger we say our economy is.
Man are we a mess....
Under the Pearl Rd. Bridge
Thanks for the comment Jeff. When I worked for the Metroparks, I used to see "hobos" and junkies living under the bridge. Now, I regularly encounter angry teenagers and some of the homeless guys who frequent the library. I once saw a woman spread-eagled on the railroad tracks. It's so anomie. I don't venture here very often. It was a nice day. I was less fearful than usual. But, it's not a place to be.
