zm once heard that there are vendors at the west side market who mark their produce as organic to sell it at a higher price. If anyone would ever be interested in helping one to secure funding to do a little enforcement / third party verification a la wipe testing to a local lab for residues.. please email me directly. I will throw in lab coordination, data interpritation, etc gratis. We can publicize results here and with the I-Team or something.. I just dont have the dosh to fund the analysis. Grrrrr. even the very thought that this is happening makes me grrrrrr.
**note i have not heard this about the vendor in the picture.. Norms photo was only a memory jogger that reminded me to discuss here, a concept we at BSI have been talking about for a while. Privatized eco-recon to level the playing field for the good guys. No USDA is going to drop by and do this at our market in the next zillion years. Carpe Diem.
