Would realneo benefit by having a moderator(s) that enforces ground rules?

We just need ground rules and an engaged board

We just need ground rules and an engaged board - I consider the treatment of realNEO by current officers like starving a baby - it doesn't need anything special but it needs the basics, every day. No basics for well over a year and the baby is sick. Big surprise.

of the sick baby, Norm. That is what the poll is, though not as scientific, but it is mercury free.

I would like a moderater

Thanks Debbie for pointing it out--unfortunately--there will be very little change in the dynamic here until a few guys manage to put aside their egos and get together to discuss the future of REALNEO.

I would like a moderator, also

Realeno, or a forum that is what realeno was, is very necessary in a one paper town. Even more so when that paper is the Pee-Dee.

Whatever the problems are, they need to be worked out.

Regardless, we need moderators in addition to the administrators.

Egos? Different perspectives? Unresolved issues? Whatever the problem, mediation can be a good step forward, at least in hearing each other. Cleveland has several good mediation programs, and they used to be free.

I too would like to see moderators

I think moderators would be good, but that does depend upon who the moderators are and how well they do their jobs. Some questions I have in mind: Who would the moderators be accountable to? What powers and limits would moderators have? How long would they serve? What duties and time commitments would be expected? Are there members who would be willing to be moderators?

members with a good track record only

That do not slam and lie about other people, do not highjack threads and such.
Some people's egos are just too much,Betty

The problem is, America is NOT a Democracy - it is a Republic! As our Founding Fathers established, can we keep it?
