Plain Dealer editorial choices for council are again - a joke.  I can't wait to read their "endorsement" for Sweeney.  What creative spin will they use this time???

In every community our overall impression of that community is aggregated from numerous experiences.   

Google hasn't provided the public with an algorithm to process this data, so here I go....

I had an experience recently which involved delivering scrap metal (light iron) to a junk yard.   

Reuters reports that the FBI and other agencies are in the process of investigating multiple threats to Midwest Water Supply Systems. Specifically, the FBI has named Wichita, Kansas as a target, but utility facilities have also been put on alert in other Midwestern cities.

 The Cleveland Cuyahoga County Port Authority is an abomination.   

Myers University, University Square Parking Garage -  on and on failure after failure.  Corruption - the folks are steering millions of dollars of bonds - which Cuyahoga citizen taxpayers are guaranteeing for Wall Street, to projects which are complete losers. 

If you own real estate in North East Ohio - in many, many communities - your real estate may be valueless.  In fact, your real estate may be a financial  liability.

How did this happen?    

Has our corrupt, ignorant, and inept local governments caused this massive loss in equity?

Is it Rust Belt deterioration?

Federal banking policy?

Or is it "market forces"?  Racism?

When I visited a friend recently I asked about this painting and was told that it was a May Show entry called "Starfish" painted by Janet Moore.   A sticker on the back of the masonite board confirmed that this painting was from the 38th May Show held in 1956.   

In a YouTube search, narrowed down to today, videos uploaded bring the devastation and terror the people in the Philippines felt and experienced right into the forefront. The images and videos below are disturbing but these people uploaded them because they want the world to bear witness.

Governmental leadership in collaboration with the local not for profit industry have failed the public at large in 'planning' at multiple levels by completely disregarding demographic data that has forever been readily available to them in order to protect the residents in our community. Gentrification has been like gasification in Cleveland, Ohio.
