The Indian parable of the blind men and the elephant showed all of the men were wrong because all reached conclusions on what they thought they felt based on partial knowledge

Part of the problem is the fact that uniformitarianism rules science and most scientists see change as taking millions of years to unfold despite the fact that this is not what ends these World Age periods or the previous five periods of extinction. In most cases, the planet was suddenly overwhelmed with little or no warning. Under the current science model, if change takes millions of years, these episodes would be considered nothing more that random noise along a protracted linear time line and therefore they would have no significant meaning. It would be interesting, but statistically meaningless. The second problem is what I call the Blind Man and the Elephant syndrome. In the parable, the blind men all reach different conclusions about what it is they are examining because each are feeling a different part of the elephant. Thus, there is no consensus. Similarly, the government has a separate branch or science agency for every part of the Earth and most often there is no communication between agencies, interfacing of data, or holistic approach in studying the problems the planet is currently experiencing from a Gestalt or quantum perspective. This is Newtonian mechanical science and its outdated thinking in the 21st century. Imagine going to a auto repair shop and having 6 different parts specialist try to diagnose the problem with your car. Your car would never be fixed because they would never figure out what the problem was since they were each examing only parts of the whole.
