    It's been about two years now, but Norm's late nite photos are still fresh in my mind's eye. The aisle with packages scattered - and the stain.  Realneo has experienced several deaths.  Up close. Hand guns were the cause.

Just 6 months - Edgewater Deli Indictments Announced

I feel the same way and think about this often - I live near Edgewater Deli and shop there and now every time I pass I think of how senseless this crime was. And I think about the friends of the victims I met that late night and the shock on their faces - all immigrants learning the wrong American way. The three killers - each in their teens - were just in court last week and should be on their way to jail for life soon - no happy ending as that is as tragic as the crime they committed - not much about his to be found online (or anywhere else) - here is typical recent coverage,

Edgewater Deli Indictments Announced

Cleveland, OH - Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced that Christopher Hawkins, Milton Ford, and Dale Reed were indicted for robbing and murdering a clerk at the Edgewater Deli. The males also shot and injured another clerk during the robbery.

On September 12, 2006, Hawkins, Ford, and Reed, all from Cleveland, robbed at gunpoint the Edgewater Deli located at 8701 Lake Road. During the robbery, they shot and killed

Salim Alsoliman, then shot and injured Waleed Khalid. The defendants were bound over from juvenile court.

Hawkins, Ford, and Reed were each indicted on two (2) counts of aggravated murder, unclassified felonies; four (4) counts of aggravated robbery, first degree felonies; and two (2)

counts of felonious assault, second degree felonies.

All counts include one and three year gun specifications. Each defendant faces a maximum sentence of life without parole.

Arraignment is scheduled for March 7, 2007. Case number: 492933
