Lakewood Public Library's Films on Friday Schedule

Digitally projected and fully licensed, these modern masterworks will roar to life out of our new stereo sound system. Come early to see a cartoon before the show! Feel free to bring your own candy, popcorn and pop. Doors open fifteen minutes before the show. Fridays at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium. Free and open to the public.

September 19th: Talk Like A Pirate Day

Don't forget, September 19th is a holiday: Talk Like a Pirate Day. It will be interesting to see -- I mean hear -- how many Clevelanders participate. I must admit I am not that into the idea, but I really like this portrait of a proud pirate  woman by one of my favorite artists, Arabella Proffer Vendetta. Count this work as "Art of the Day".
