Thank you for this coverage - Akron Art Museum is often overlooked by Cleveland's art elite. It shouldn't be. Follow the Cuyahoga River for a day trip to Akron via the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Bike Aboard. Or, take the Akron Metro from Downtown CLE and back (round trip $10). Akron's library, museum, and central business district are all within convenient walking distance. Lock 3 is a vibrant public space http://www.lock3live.com/ - in many ways- more successful than the re-do of Cleveland's Public Square. The Akron Art Museum is also especially child-friendly with a current exhibit, Please Touch - that features Cleveland-based artists: Jordan Elise Perme, Christopher Lees, Erin Guido and John Paul Costello.
