Always heard a "Wish Sandwich"  was two slices of bread and you wished you had some balony on it.

If they're going to go that route, they might as well go for a "Poor Man's Jam Sandwich" - two slices of bread jamed together. 

LOL!  Two slices of bread jammed together!  Funny one Jerleen.  My husband says his mother and father and his aunt used to tell him about lard sandwiches and potato sandwiches in the depression era.  If prices keep going up soon some won't even afford the bread.  I hope it doesn't come to that, but things definately aren't good for many.
