Eduardo R. Menascé - President, Verizon Enterprise
Solutions Group

Eduardo R. Menascé is president of the
Enterprise Solutions Group for Verizon Communications, the national
communications company formed by the merger of Bell Atlantic and GTE. His
responsibilities include oversight of all sales, marketing and service delivery
for Verizon’s largest business and government customers.

Menascé previously held several international positions
at GTE, living in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and France. From 1996 until the
merger, Mr. Menascé was president and CEO of CTI MOVIL S.A. - Argentina, a
wireless telephone company. Prior to that, Mr. Menascé was CFO and COO for
CANTV, the sole provider of comprehensive communications products and services
in Venezuela.

Mr. Menascé began work with GTE Corporation in 1974 in
Sao Paulo, Brazil, as CFO for GTE Brazil - Lighting and Consumer Electronics
Division. In 1979, he was named general manager for GTE Brazil - Lighting
Division. In 1981, he was appointed president of GTE France - Lighting
Division. Before joining GTE, Menascé worked with Wagner Lockheed Brazil as an
industrial engineer, with Cresap, McCormick and Paget, USA and Brazil, as a
management consultant, and with Alcatel Telecommunicaciones Brazil.

Menascé currently serves on the board of directors of
Pitney Bowes Inc., KeyCorp and Hillenbrand Industries, Inc. He also serves on
the board of advisors of Adventis, a leading management and strategy
consultancy to the converging global information industries. Menascé earned a
bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Pontificia
Catolica de Rio de Janeiro and a master's degree in business administration
from Columbia University in New York. Additionally, he is fluent in four
languages--English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
