Creating a New Industry from the Film IndustrySubmitted by prelude2cinema on Sat, 03/18/2006 - 11:13.
Intro: Alex P. Michaels here. Although I call myself the Film Czar, I have been really thinking that we have to redefine what we call the Film Industry. This is a new age and a new time. Technology has become the focal point for allowing us to create a new industry. So Prelude2Cinema is kicking off the creation of a new Industry here. A Digital Media Technology Industry. Our Studio expansion and TV show are a small part of this new industry that will create jobs and bring attention to the region. THE TIME IS NOW FOR MORE THAN TALK. We have two upcoming events that are sponsored by our business sponsors and open to the community. Two Fundraisers to Create the Digital Media Technology IndustryPrelude2Cinema will be holding a series of fundraisers to support the Studio Expansion and the creation of a New Industry in Northeast Ohio. The first event is April 27th from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Velvet Dog and only cost $5.00. It features free appetizers and a comp. cocktail. We will be a screening a new episode of the TV Series "Out of Darkness" and the cast will be there. To attend, The other event is at Massimo's da Milano and takes place May 4th from 5pm to 7pm. It features a free dinner and a cash bar. The cost is only $20.00. Celebrities are expected to attend. I will attend both and spread the word - great ideas!
Terrific, Alex. I agree with your just do it approach. Put these events on the realneo calendar (go to ceate content and "event") and be sure to put correct start and end times and dates, and addresses. On Tuesday and the Urban Planning Roundtable (http://realneo.us/events/2006-03-21-excellence-roundtable-steven-fong-dean-kent-college-of-architecture-mar-2006) we'll discuss other just do it approaches to making the film industry as successful as possible here in NEO.
