WASHINGTON, Jan 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled in favor of homeowners seeking to back out of mortgages when lenders are accused of failing to follow a federal "truth in lending" law.

On a 9-0 vote, the court handed a win to an Eagan, Minnesota couple, Larry and Cheryle Jesinoski, over the $611,000 loan they obtained in 2007 from Countrywide Home Loans Inc, now part of Bank of America Corp.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - From the dingy donut shops of Manhattan to the cloistered police watering holes in Brooklyn, a number of black NYPD officers say they have experienced the same racial profiling that cost Eric Garner his life.

The FBI will hold active shooter training drills at sports stadiums as part of a massive program to prepare for what the agency says is a growing concern for law enforcement.

Thirty thousand agents will take part in the training sessions, which will also help prepare officers for active-shooter situations at businesses, schools and public places, according to the USA Today.
