Around 4:30 a.m. early Tuesday morning journalist Michael Hastings died in a fiery car crash while driving through Hollywood. The 33-year-old Hastings was an infamous thorn in the side of the Obama administration when, in 2010, he exposed the scandal that led to the firing of General Stanley McChrystal as America's top commander in Afghanistan.

Recently, when I was in New York City, the most impressive experience I had was riding on the subway with a very ill fellow.   His right leg was wrapped in a black plastic garbage bag, his pant leg above the bag appeared wet with blood and body fluid, and he was rocking back and forth in the fetal crouch position without looking up.    The garbage bag "shoe" was leaking and the linoleum floor was moist...

The US government is making foreign policy based on bad information, because they can get away with it.If we have open source information, that the public has a grip on, then it holds the government accountable to not be ideologically stupid.

 It became apparent last night that the Jackson administration staged this whole contract with Peter Tien for kickbacks.  It was actually apparent before last night - Jackson and his willing conspirators at Sweeney-controlled council awarded a contract to Peter Tien--a contract that defies comprehension.

I received a super cool treat  in my mailbox today.  The absolute best mail that I have ever received.

A post card dated March 25, 1914 was addressed to my house and delivered today, Jun 12, 2013.

Nearly 100 years after the post card was mailed it was finally delivered - TO ME!

These guys are pretty impressive - lots of gobble noises while scurrying after the hens.

I remember in kindergarten we made clay models of turkeys at Thanksgiving...I think I painted rainbow colors on the tail of the turkey...that wasn't anatomically correct.
