At
this year’s second annual Celebrating the Champions of Sustainability,
Entrepreneurs for Sustainability will recognize area business leaders
— those with an entrepreneurial spirit who are successfully implementing
sustainability principles in their facilities, processes, products,
markets and company cultures.

You can help us discover these leaders by nominating someone who is
doing groundbreaking work with renewable energy, energy efficiency,
fuel effective transportation, soil restoration, green buildings or
local/organic food. A Champion of Sustainability nominee could be a
business owner, purchasing agent, product designer, architect, sales
representative, maintenance person or entrepreneur. Your nominee should
be someone who inspires you to implement sustainability in your world.

This year we have added a new award to honor one of the four founders
of E4S who has since moved to North Carolina. The Schneiderman –
Socially Responsible Business Champion Award (click
here
for a full description) – will be awarded to the champion
whose work most exemplifies the social equity or socially responsible
aspect of the triple bottom line.

For more information about making nominations (why not make more than
one!) click here.

All nominations will be posted on our web site.

The awards will be presented at the November 16 E4S event to each Champion
— by the person who submitted the nomination. For this reason,
both individuals must be present at the November 16 event in
order to receive the award.

Please make your nominations by November 10th.

Organizations
and businesses are invited to reserve an exhibitor table. $100 for
a whole table, $50 for a half table. 2004 members receive a 50% discount.
