image too full of shadow - HDR can help

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Fri, 02/10/2012 - 23:45.

Computer + camera = faster (but usually not better) than the eye.   But faster than our brains.   High Dynamic Range (HDR) image capture is a high speed multiple sampling - with the camera's built in computer analyzing the underexposed and overexposed frames and combining them.

Submitted by Quest-News-Serv... on Thu, 02/09/2012 - 17:20.

Although NASA covered up the strange photon cloud that's now enveloped the solar system, the word has leaked out from some scientists. And now, as the ominous cloud approaches it's affecting the sun and planets in measurable ways. Amazingly, as the bizarre energy invades our space, some of the world's most famous pyramids are generating intense energy.

A beautiful night for CLE--as the heavenly choir of St. Olaf performed for a capacity crowd of 700+ at Mary Queen of Peace (formerly Our Lady of Good Counsel) in Old Brooklyn.  For Old Brooklyn and Brooklyn Centre residents--getting there was as easy as a brisk winter's walk.

Mr. Dimora is now working for the taxpayers - ironically

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 02/07/2012 - 20:57.

Mr. Dimora was always about 15 minutes late to meetings he attended - I was there.   Just a  little slap in the public's face, no matter.

Now, however, with the ongoing federal trial in Akron, Ohio, Mr. Jim Dimora is finally giving us taxpayers a little value.

Composite Structure - tire with tensile and compressive elements - like fiberglass

Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 02/04/2012 - 20:35.

The image above is of the Goodyear Wrangler tire which blew out on the rear axel of my van.

Every car has a tire constructed just like this.  Fabric (polyester, etc) cord running across the tire, and steel cord alligned around  the circumference of the tire.

Synthetic rubber everwhere in between.

When it blows up - this is what it looks like.

De-lamination.

There are just two employees - one operating the Caterpillar dozer and one driving the Caterpillar belly dump.  The belly dump is filled to overflowing in just a few minutes.   Much of this salt gets shipped by sea to the icy parts of North America for road de-icing.

Stucco is applied to the wall with a trowel from a mortar hod - the mortar is loaded into a hod after the stucco is mixed in a rotary mixer or mixed in a wheelbarrow or on at flat surface.
