Citi refused to accept mortgage payments, scheduled auction BUT

Submitted by Oldroser on Thu, 06/21/2012 - 23:08.

The woman's activist son had been helping others fight to keep their homes, possibly the bank was retaliating, the auction was scheduled even though she'd been told an executive would work with her, but the community rallied behind her; and lo and behold, they changed their mind. Even worked out new payment arrangement so she pays less.

Meet with a couple visting from Dayton to research her family--specifically, the Fish Family, one of the original settlers in Cuyahoga County.  It helps that the Brooklyn Centre neighborhood retains some of the architecture and landmarks that can help her trace her family and provide a touchstone.

How many of us, will be able to have that comfort ten, twenty, thirty years from now??

U.S. Chamber lies about Brown's record

Submitted by Lee Batdorff on Fri, 12/09/2011 - 20:57.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has used lies to attack the record of Sherrod Brown according to a recent edition of the Plain Dealer's Politifacts.

Sherrod must be good at what he does by the way he draws vicious attacks centered around lies from the right. These are especially from U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown's nemesis de jour, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, current Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel.

Submitted by amrevieL on Wed, 11/23/2011 - 03:02.
American-Bank.jpg

A new survey displays the negativity Americans feel toward the United States financial system proceeds to grow. Faith in the American economic system is indicated by only 23 percent of those surveyed. But it isn't hopeless, professionals say. Regulators, with work, can repair that trust.
