jerleen1's blogHEROS EMERGE FROM THE TWDC ANNUAL MEETING LAST EVENINGSubmitted by jerleen1 on Fri, 01/28/2011 - 21:32.
Three heros emerged from the TWDC Annual Membership meeting last evening. Guy T. Black, Larry Cornett and David Gamble. These three Tremont residents rose to the occasion and helped to lead the membership/voters into deciding against the by-law proposals that would give centralized power to the board. The passing of this code of regulations would in many ways provide the organization with the guidelines for running a top down structure........to the detriment of the poor, elderly, minorities and long time residents of our community.

CITY OF CLEVELAND, DEPT. OF BUILDING & HOUSING, DIVISION OF CODE ENFORCEMENTSubmitted by jerleen1 on Tue, 09/14/2010 - 21:09.
Today, I spent the morning at City Hall. My mission took me to the 5th Floor Records Window where a very pleasant young man ask if he could be of assistance. It seems as though City Inspector Francis Cirvencic has been a busy man and from what I understand, he plans on spending some more time in Tremont. As the helper pecked away at his computer, page after page after page of Violation Notices crawled out of the printer.

NON-COMPLIANT - LAW-BREAKING TREMONT RESTAURANTS SUPPORT ELDERLY, HANDICAPPED ATTACKER SAMMY CATANIASubmitted by jerleen1 on Tue, 07/13/2010 - 13:45.
Non-compliant restaurants in Tremont get behind Sammy Catania after his violent, threatening and verbal outburst against a Senior handicapped life long resident of Tremont. Are the puzzle pieces now fitting together? Perhaps and, perhaps there is still a missing piece. I don't believe that Councilman Cimperman has made any statement declaring his position to the Tremont community at large ? How will this attack effect the elderly, handicapped, low-income and long-time minorities at the election poles?

Father Lucian is again being gracious enough to permit the OSS the privilege of meeting in the St. John Cantius meeting room. As the flyer indicates, we will be addressing the issues/concerns of blocking public right-of-ways in our community. The lack of handicap parking/signage. This matter is open for discussion to everyone since it affects the safe passage not only to those with disabilities but to anyone pushing strollers, carts, on crutches or may have difficulty with their gait, especially the elderly.

For more than a year citizens residing at the Scranton Castle CMHA Complex have complained to CMHA representatives and building management about the on-going infestitation of cockroaches and bed bugs.
