The Cuyahoga County Land Bank has started the process of giving Safeguard Properties & Forest City (Slavic Village Recovery LLC ) up to 50 houses- with the possibility of 100's more.

Recently, when I was in New York City, the most impressive experience I had was riding on the subway with a very ill fellow.   His right leg was wrapped in a black plastic garbage bag, his pant leg above the bag appeared wet with blood and body fluid, and he was rocking back and forth in the fetal crouch position without looking up.    The garbage bag "shoe" was leaking and the linoleum floor was moist...

 It became apparent last night that the Jackson administration staged this whole contract with Peter Tien for kickbacks.  It was actually apparent before last night - Jackson and his willing conspirators at Sweeney-controlled council awarded a contract to Peter Tien--a contract that defies comprehension.

I received a super cool treat  in my mailbox today.  The absolute best mail that I have ever received.

A post card dated March 25, 1914 was addressed to my house and delivered today, Jun 12, 2013.

Nearly 100 years after the post card was mailed it was finally delivered - TO ME!

The post card has the original old one cent postage stamp that was unfortunately mostly covered up with a current 33 cent postage stamp:

But the true dangers of the job are probably less well known. I attended a military reunion recently. Thereafter; someone made a mockery of it. I thought about their idea of "what fun is?" ...and then I laughed at their pathetic (spoiled) existence as an American. To realize that there is such a lacking percentage of Americans who fail to recognize that they are a part of the problem and reasoning associated with why so many veterans commit suicide daily is the hugest sickening thing I have ever come to grips with in my life. You ungrateful, bullying jerks need your citizenship revoked.

A heartbreaking photo from the funeral of Kentucky K9 officer Jason Ellis is proof of the incredible bond between police dogs and their partners.The 33-year-old officer was killed in a suspected ambush on Saturday and laid to rest soon after, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

 In the heat of another insane news week - it may have been lost on some folks that a young man was shot and killed outside of a library in Cleveland.  Another grim statistic.  A boy.

I personally believe that this $75 Million of Grant appropriated funds is the key to understanding how and why Rokakis never got federal time....he had the pen and paper in hand to negotiate the local region getting these funds...and he used it as a tool to stay out of jail....GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD...divisively used to build MILLION DOLLAR HOMES for the POOR....wow........If you cannot read between the lines; shame on you! Hey Tax Payers with Attitudes.....Keep voting for these pilfering politicians to sustain our community...

 Ever since I was aware several years ago that Toronto's Mayor Rob Ford didn't like bikes on the streets of Toronto, I haven't liked Rob Ford.

So when Gawker initiated it's "crackstarter" (pun on Kickstarter) campaign in the middle of May to crowd source $200,000 to buy from some drug commerce folks the video which purportedly shows Mayor Ford smoking crack - I was impressed.

What a great idea!

In 2013, our City seems to lag behind the world of information sharing regarding the criminal vandalism that goes with scrapping out houses in Cleveland by tenants, locals, and hungry addicts trying to sustain their expensive addictions with midnight thefts of copper pipes, stainless steel sinks, cast iron stack pipes, and wiring in the walls of vacant and abandoned homes. Property owners must have insurance to cover such vandalism above and beyond the basic fire policies of landlords.
